A magnificent beauty, Mount Toubkal with an altitude of 4167 meters is the highest mountain in North Africa and the second highest on the continent. It dominates the High Atlas mountain range. A must for hiking enthusiasts.
The adventure begins in Imlil which is a small village located in the Moroccan High Atlas. Situated at 1,800 meters above sea level, Imlil has become a hiking center, with equipment to rent for those wishing to climb Toubkal. There are quite a few excursionists from Marrakech, flowered terraces, very nice people and despite its proximity to Marrakech, the people here still have a very traditional lifestyle which offers you a trip into the past.
The path climbed following a river with gushing white water, alongside green terraced pastures. The road follows the valley, climbing gently near the river. An escape into the great outdoors admiring the splendid mountains, up to Chamharouch and its lit sky. Then continuation of the road towards the famous summit which at its level, a new sensation sets in and heavenly panoramic visions are offered.
